Mrs Warner teaches Woodpeckers on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Mr Gosling teaches Woodpeckers on Thursdays and Fridays.

Children will change their reading books once weekly, subject to having read them at least 3 times at home. Please send children with their reading books and diaries in everyday. Children will have their reading books changes as below:

Current Learning
This term our learning will be centred around the exciting topic of "Me and My World". We will be exploring ideas about ourselves, the world around us and the wider universe. Our writing and reading will be inspired by the themes of journeys, space, and adventure, using a range of wonderful books including The Way Back Home, Bob – The Man on the Moon, and Beegu.
In maths, we will start by revisiting key number concepts, focusing on place value and number knowledge. This includes lots of practical activities to help children confidently count, recognise, and order numbers up to and beyond 20. We will also be strengthening our understanding of number relationships by practising “one more” and “one less,” and working on quickly identifying the number before or after a given number. Later in the term, we will begin exploring measurement.
We begin our science learning this term by exploring the changes we see in the world around us during Autumn. We will move into the topic of animals (including humans) with a focus on the body and the five senses. The children will learn to identify and name different parts of the body and discover which body part is linked to each sense.
