Forest School
Forest School is an inspirational approach to learning that fosters self-confidence, social skills, resilience, and an appreciation for the natural environment. Through regular sessions, children are encouraged to initiate their own play, make choices, and learn from experiences in a supportive, safe, and secure outdoor environment.
At our Forest School we want children to grow in confidence and independence and develop empathy for the world around them as they explore, imagine, experience and work together to try new activities, manage risk and learn new skills.
Each term a different class will attend weekly morning sessions.
Our sessions will involve a variety of activities, which may include:
• Learning to use simple tools under supervision
• Cooking on a campfire or toasting marshmallows
• Creating natural crafts and art
• Exploring the woodland environment and engaging with natural materials
Term 3 and Year 1 Woodpeckers class are enjoying sessions this term.
