Term 4 Learning
This term in Reception our topic is 'Ticket to Ride'. The learning will focus on transport and space, sparking the children’s curiosity about how we travel on land, in the air and even beyond our planet. Through stories, play and hands-on activities, the children will explore different types of vehicles and think about how things move. They will discover more about space, famous astronauts and space travel through the years.

In Phonics and early writing, the children will continue practising their sounds and using these to read and write simple words and sentences linked to our learning. We will be reviewing all of the Phase 3 sounds this term and focusing on correct letter formation.

A very exciting part of the term will be hatching our own chicks! This is one of the highlights of the year, where the children will observe life cycles up close and learn about how living things grow and change.

Throughout the term, learning will be creative, practical and full of opportunities for the children to explore, question and develop their confidence as young learners.
