House System at the Junior Site
There are 4 different houses at the Junior Site. These houses are named after local castles; Hever, Scotney, Arundel and Bodiam. The children are placed into one of these houses either on starting in Year 3 or entry into the school (when starting in Years 3-6), siblings will be in the same house.
The children wear T-Shirts in PE related to the colour of their house: yellow for Hever; green for Scotney: blue for Arundel and red for Bodiam. There are a number inter-house competitions that will run throughout the year.
Children earn house points for themselves and for their houses. Points are awarded for demonstration of our school values of: support, resilience, respect, opportunity, trust and citizenship. Children also earn house points towards bronze, silver and gold certificates for themselves.
Each week the house points for each house are added up from across the school and the winning house announced in assembly.
