My name is Mr Allen and I am the class teacher.

My hobbies are playing football and golf. I support Chelsea FC and Jarvis Brook!

Our teaching assistants are:

In our classroom the saying " I can't" is banned and we replace that with "I can". I can do this and I will try my best to do this!

In line with out school policy we have temporarily stopped homework. At home we would like you to read at least 4 times a week and record this on Boom reader and  Practice your times tables on times table rockstars!

We would like EVERYONE to read as much as possible . Find a book you love and get lost in some fantastic stories!

Our topic for term 1 is local History. We will be learning lots about the local area and how our school and Crowborough has changed over the years. We will receive a visit from the Crowborough Mayor talking to us about how the role of Mayor has changed in Crowborough over the years too.

Our topic for term 2 is How do images move? We will be linking our computing, history and DT to look at the history of animation and find ways we can make animation ourselves through work on the computers and trying to recreate some of the first animations. We will then look at how they have changed throughout history.

In Term 3 we will be looking at the Stone age. This will link in to our Art topic as we look at making clay pots. Please find more information on our learning letter and overview below.

In Term 4 we will be looking at the Topic farm to fork. Our writing and reading will link with this via the book Charlotte's Webb and we will be looking at soup making in our  DT. Please find more information below on our learning letters and learning overviews.

In Term 5 we will be exploring our local area of the High Weald and what makes it an area of outstanding natural beauty. We will be learning about dragons in our reading and writing and linking this in with our art and using water colours to create pictures of dragons.

Our topic for Term 6 is "One hundred acre wood" Where we will putting together our learning in Geography about the High Weald and link it to the Ashdown forest. Here we will explore dens and how they are made before making some of our own!
