In English, we are going to be writing narrative based on Float by Daniel Miyares.  We will also be writing poetry about rivers.

We will be reading 'The Boy and the Bear in a Boat' by Dave Shelton and the non-fiction text 'How Does a Lighthouse Work? by Roman Belyaev.

In Maths this term, we will be completing our work on  decimals before going on to look at money.  We will then move onto time.

In science we will be deepening our understanding and knowledge of electrical circuits and applying this knowledge in Design and Technology.

Times Tables!

The first week in term six is when the children will be doing the MTC so term 5 is the final opportunity to brush up on times tables!

Please try to do Times tables rockstars at least 2 or even better 3 times a week.

Reading

 

We would really like EVERYONE to focus on finding books that they love, getting lost in great stories, and sharing those fantastic stories with us all at school.

We are asking all children to read for pleasure at least 4 times a week.
