Welcome to Ashdown Primary School

WE ARE OPEN TO EVERYONE! HOORAY!

FOR INFORMATION ON OPENING TIMES AND STAGGERED STARTS, PLEASE SEE YOUR CHILD'S CLASS PAGE HERE

IF YOUR CHILD IS ATTENDING SCHOOL AND THEY OR ANYONE IN THEIR HOUSEHOLD DEVELOPS ANY COVID19 SYMPTOMS, YOU MUST EMAIL covid@ashdown.e-sussex.sch.uk  IMMEDIATELY, ANYTIME, DAY OR NIGHT AND LET US KNOW.

Current advice is this: anyone in a household displaying symptoms should get a Covid test (call NHS 111 if you are unsure). All members of that household should then isolate for 14 days, they should only get tested if they then develop symptoms. Again call NHS 111 if you are not sure. If the tests come back negative then everyone can go back to "normal". If the test comes back positive, then the household must isolate for 14 days. If someone else develops symptoms within those 14 days then the testing and isolating cycle begins again for that household. If a test is not available or the results do not come back swiftly, then the child can return to school after 10 days, or as soon as they feel better after 10 days.

If you are not sure what to do this flow chart, table and video may help:

Unfortunately we are not welcoming visitors into our school building at the moment. If you must visit the school then you will be required to have your temperature taken on arrival, wear a mask at all times, and sign our "Track and Trace" form. Personal data of employees, parents, pupils or visitors to school may be shared with NHS/Public Health Agencies where relevant to the Covid pandemic.

 We are a great school!

We have the most dedicated staff, supportive parents, strong governors and the most awesome children in the world!

We recognise the responsibility we have for people's most precious things everyday, and we take this very seriously. We want children to develop a love of learning in all ways at our school and have huge fun in doing this. Have a look on this website to see some examples of what we get up to. Or come and see for yourself by booking onto one of our monthly tours of each site - contact our office for the next available slot. We look forward to welcoming you to our fantastic school.
